Problem

After the HR system, the same furniture factory wanted its warehouses, purchasing and production on one system. Its bills of materials were kept in Excel, with formulas.

Build

I built the manufacturing module: production orders, an import that reads bills of materials from Excel and evaluates their formulas, a material shortage check, and material receipts allocated to production orders P2.

On the warehouse side I added pick allocation with removal strategies, stock locking and reconciliation, barcode scanning, a stock card, partial receipts against purchase orders and printable stock documents.

Result

The system runs as a pilot at the factory. On 22 October 2026, 546 Java test cases, 510 TypeScript unit cases and 137 browser tests in the repository were in lines I wrote P3.

Limits

The repository and its architecture belong to the lead developer, including multi-tenancy, the event outbox, stock valuation, journal posting and the mobile app. One pull request of mine is still open. Some of my commits were written with an AI coding assistant. The factory is not named.

My part

I wrote 42 of the repository's 163 commits P1: the whole manufacturing module and the warehouse upgrade, with their tests.
